Measurement of the water or snow depth with an ultrasonic
sensor.
This not immersed sensor measures the elapsed time between
emission and reception of an ultrasonic pulse and deducts
a distance with a great accuracy. That measurement can be
used to determine the water level or the snow depth without
any contact with the controlled environment.
